SPEAKING & TRAINING

Claire's speaking and training is characterised by deep authenticity, generated by speaking from personal experience, and by deep faith in the innate capacity for creativity and joy that dwells inside every human being.

Claire's vision is that our capacity to live from our creativity, joy and passion be something we each take responsibility for encouraging in ourselves and in others in every area of life - our work places, our homes, our communities and in the greater global community.

Wisdom at Work 1 day Training
in collaboration with Noel Posus

  • Do you wish you knew the wise thing to do, whatever the situation, in order to make the most of it for yourself and for others?
  • Would you like to be a wiser leader of your team, your business, your community, or other organisation?
  • Would you like more wisdom in your self-leadership style?

If the answer to any of these questions is "yes", then this seminar will be of service to you.

In this seminar we address the above questions and others, including:

  • What is wisdom?
  • How can you access and appreciate your own wisdom more easily and more fully?
  • What makes a wise leader?
  • How can you be a wiser leader and make wisdom an inherent aspect of your leadership style?
  • What does it take to connect with and draw out the wisdom of others?
  • How can you put wisdom to work for you in everyday life both professionally and personally?

Outcomes - you will :

  • Develop a personal and professional definition of wisdom
  • Develop a personal and professional wisdom-based model of leadership
  • Gain clarity about how to apply wisdom in numerous contexts
  • Gain the ability to access and act on your wisdom voice rather than less useful internal voices e.g. the controller, victim or sceptic
  • Develop strategies for eliciting wisdom within your team and other groups
  • Create a development action plan
  • Have access to an on-line resource library of wisdom and leadership focused materials
  • Have the opportunity to pursue this process further through individual coaching.

Wisdom can be the spark or catalyst that enables you to release and direct your power more effectively, to the benefit of yourself and others. An essential step to realise this potential is to more fully acknowledge and connect with your own wisdom and that of other people. This seminar is designed to be this step and more.

Under pressure we often drive ourselves - and our team - to get something done quickly. How do we make sure we build wisdom into this process so that each step is as effective and resourceful as it can be?

This day is designed to instil in us the knowledge that wisdom is available, in every moment, from both our selves and other people. It is designed to enable each one of us to access our wisdom more often, more easily and more effectively and support us in lifting our leadership to the next level by incorporating wisdom into our automatic repertoire.

Wisdom is one of our greatest assets, in all aspects of our life, so let's keep it at the core of our decision-making processes.

Noel Posus and Claire Stretch are deligted to run this course in-house to enabe you and your staff to tap into the rich inner reserves of wisdom within.

Other training and speaking topics offered by Claire include:

  • 'Jailbreak!'- Claire shares her observations and personal experiences of a phenomenon that many people undergo in their lives. Having worked with people suffering from addiction, including facilitating groups in a women's prison in London, Claire came to see the phenomenon of addiction as a metaphor with far wider application. It is not just addicts who back themselves into a dark, isolated, joyless place (and sometimes a real prision). This is something that many of us seem to do, finding ourselves in a grinding, thankless lifestyle, full of duties and responsibilites which wear us down over time. As a child, we start life free, and then gradually we build ourself a prision of rules, 'shoulds', and 'shouldn'ts' to live in. The walls are made of our judgements of ourselves, of others and of how we think the world is. The excitement begins when we each realise that we built our own prison and that we all already have everything we need inside us to break out and build the home we really want.
  • 'Perception is a mirror, not a fact' - through real life examples and stories, and with a passion for the creative power that is unleased when any human being gains understaning of the fact that perception is just a mirror, Claire will support you in exapanding your ideas about what is possible for you in your life. By starting to see that nothing external to us has any intrinsic meaning - that meaning is generated from within us and overlaid onto the movie of our life, there is a wonderful escalation in our capacity to generate for ourselves the kind of life that we truly desire.
  • Who's in the driving seat, your ego or your soul?' - we all have an ego, an identity, and we all have a soul, a heart. And most of us have at least some experience of how well life flows when our soul is in the driving seat. So why don't we let it drive all the time?! The answer seems to boil down to fear. Our identity, our ego, tells us not to take risks, not to appear foolish, not to make waves, not to risk change or 'all will be lost'. It doesn't, however, tell us that these fears are it's own story lines plucked out of the air that are only as real as we let them be. By transfering the seat of power to our soul, to our heart, we can live from our imagination and capacity to dream, rather from our fears. and so transform our experience of life. Each of us can access the strength to put our identity in the passenger seat and use it sparingly as required. Egos are not good drivers! Souls, however, drive effortlessly and with grace.
